NM3 x ECCO: Material Matters — Steel Bookshelf Design

Material Matters is a spatial installation developed by NM3 in collaboration with ECCO and presented at 10 Corso Como during Milan Design Week 2024, within Capsule Plaza.

NM3 curated the development and production of the installation, structuring the space through custom platforms, seating elements, and vertical partitions organised within a modular system. A custom steel bookshelf design approach defined the spatial grammar of the display.

A custom version of the NM27 paravent was developed for the project. Conceived as both spatial divider and display surface, the element integrated leather panels within a stainless steel structure. During the workshop, the leather surfaces were used as a creative canvas, transforming the paravent into a unique, one-off piece.

The installation explored the use of leather within a controlled architectural framework.
